ASSE 1003-23/CSA B356:23 applies to water pressure reducing valves for potable water distribution systems. The purpose of these valves is to reduce static and flowing pressures in water distribution systems.

This is the first edition of ASSE 1003/CSA B356, Water pressure reducing valves for potable water distribution systems. It supersedes ASSE 1003, Performance Requirements for Water Pressure Reducing Valves for Potable Water Distribution Systems, published in 2020, and CSA B356, Water pressure reducing valves for potable water distribution systems, published in 2022.
